You likely also know that there is insufficient research and information about the cause(s) of Calcinosis Cutis. And that medical treatment can be ineffective and sometimes counterproductive (e.g., some research has found that surgery/removal promotes more growth). 

This website was developed in honor of Nancy-Jean Anthony, a dynamic, stoic, and profoundly strong woman. She was a role model for how to live and how to love. For many years, Nancy-Jean endured Calcinosis Cutis, Despite numerous visits to various doctors and specialists over the years, Nancy-Jean had virtually no answers from the medical community and little relief. She did have a few surgeries, which turned out to be both painful and ineffective, as the calcium buildups often returned to that location and/or elsewhere.

In her honor, her family wanted to set up a website through which others who are suffering from this condition could have access to current research and a space to learn from one another.
